Carbon-Neutral DOCG Wine Debuting at Anteprima del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG will be the first wine region to be certified as carbon-neutral.


Over 70% of the local winemakers in the Nobile di Montepulciano area have been implementing sustainable winegrowing practices for the last ten years. Their efforts, which include off-the-grid wineries and geothermal power plants, have been crucial in reducing the carbon footprint. This achievement was announced at Anteprima del Vino di Montepulciano, a three-day event attended by 4,000 people, including 150 journalists from all over the world.
