From 23 to 25 March 2017, Cortona will host the third edition of Dalle Stalle alle Stelle (lit. “From Stables to Stars”), a three-day festival showcasing the excellence of the Tuscan produce, with events dedicated to wine, good food and music. The two protagonists will be the Chianina and Syrah, presented by Michelin-starred chefs and wine experts. The worldwide renowned Chianina IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) is a cattle breed deeply rooted in the territory and history of Valdichiana, where Cortona is located. Syrah is perhaps the most representative grape variety of Cortona, whose characteristics are enhanced considerably by the natural environment. Syrah is currently under the protection of the Cortona Wine Consortium, established in 1999.
