Panino Giusto Introduces WASA-MI, The Italian-Japanese Panino
Chef Sadler and Chef Sasajima unveiled their latest creation to be launched on 16th October.
WASA-MI is Panino Giusto’s latest creation for the Japanese market. Unveiled at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Tokyo, it will be listed in Panino Giusto’s menus of the Ikebukuro and the Yokohama shop from 16th October. A point of convergence between Italy and Japan, Wasami stems from the collaboration between two-Michelin-starred Chef Claudio Sadler and Yasuhiro Sasajima, chef at Kyoto’s Il Ghiottone. The name itself, WASA-MI, was chosen to convey the idea of perfect harmony between the Italian and the Japanese cuisine. The panino consists of two surprisingly soft buns prepared with soy milk cream expressly created for WASA-MI. The buns are spread with robiola cheese mousse - seasoned with truffle oil - and filled with 100% Japanese beef picanha and rump, rocket, eggs mimosa, sliced portobello, fresh wasabi-flavoured mayonnaise and capers.
